- Abstract
- Right-wing populism has become more and more prevalent in the political landscape, a trend especially observed in Europe. In the north, Scandinavian countries have seen a substantial rise in support for populistic, right-wing parties with Denmark and Sweden being two striking examples. In the respective countries, “Dansk Folkeparti'' and “Sverigedemokraterna” have been the most prominent examples. The two parties have been met with different attitudes from the mainstream parties, which previous research suggests has influenced their development in voter turnout.
