Abstract
The contemporary workplace undergoes constant transformations, driven in part by employees' innovation and curiosity. Work environments where employees feel motivated, an organization that employees identify with, and notably, a workplace where employees feel respected and heard are key factors behind an organization's success. The purpose of this essay is to investigate whether there is a correlation between Organizational Identification (OID), motivation, and job satisfaction. The participants consisted of 80 individuals, all of whom were employed in some capacity, and their responses were collected through an anonymized web survey. The hypothesis examined the extent to which OID and motivation could predict job satisfaction. Through the... (More)

Through the analysis of the collected responses, partial support for the hypothesis was demonstrated, but not entirely. There was a very strong and significant correlation between OID and job satisfaction, as well as between motivation and job satisfaction. However, when OID and motivation were combined, motivation lost its significance. Thus, it implies that OID accounts for the relationship between the predictor variable and the outcome variable, as it is the only significant correlation. However, the hypothesis can be accepted since the two predictor variables together could predict the outcome variable. Hierarchical regression analysis showed that both OID and motivation are positively related to job satisfaction. The essay contributes to previous research by providing a deeper understanding of the importance of OID and motivation in the workplace and how they correlate with job satisfaction. Increased interest and engagement in this subject will lead to a higher level of job satisfaction in the workplace, which in turn contributes to innovation and success. (Less)
Abstract (Swedish)
(More)
(Less)
