- Abstract
- This master thesis aims to use eco feminist theory to examine how the patriarchal and anthropocentric western society have impacted the modern man's relationship to the non-human world and the Christian tradition. Is there a connection between the systematic oppression of women and minorities in the patriarchal ideological system and man's relationship to domesticated animals and the human impact on climate change? Using the theoretical framework of ecotheologian Celia D. Drummond the purpose with this thesis is to contribute perspectives and ideas to a Christian theology and worldview that can stand in contrast to the dominant anthropocentric worldview in modern Western society.
