In this paper I will examine the arguments made in the EU parliament regarding the situation in Catalonia, I will do this to see what arguments they uses and how they use them. I will be sorting the arguments into three different categories to be able to analyse them and to create a picture of how the view of separatism looks like within the EU parliament. The conclusion of this paper is that there is not a common view of on separatism but there is a quite common opinion about separatism even if its maybe not clearly outspoken. (Less)
