Abstract
By examining how pedagogues in the Archives think and work with the availability
of archive material, the purpose of this master thesis is to analyze how teaching is planned and adapted to different students and student groups at upper secondary
school. The study was conducted using a qualitative method with semi-structured
questions. Eleven pedagogues in the Archives were interviewed and the results
from the interviews were analyzed using John Dewey's pragmatic theory and Terry
Cook's theory about the fourth paradigm.

This study shows that all pedagogues in the Archives create school programs
according to the curriculum for students at upper secondary school. However, not
many school programs are adapted only for students at upper secondary school. The
school programs often have a wider target group. Instead, there is a target group
adaptation to the tasks of the school program. This study also shows that the archive pedagogues have good communications with teachers and that they want to adapt the school programs for different students and student groups studying at the upper secondary school. On the other hand, there are fewer archive pedagogues who adapt to different educational specialization at the upper secondary school, or to the wishes about theme from individual teachers. The reasons for this are time, resources, numbers of years in the profession, teaching background or more tasks than just being a pedagogue in the Archives. (Less)
