- Abstract
- The rapid development of the technological world requires a corresponding adaptation in various industries. However, the construction industry is a step behind other industries when it comes to implementing new technical methods, and this is for several reasons.
Some examples of these:
1. Conservative culture: For a long time, traditional construction methods have been an unwritten rule in the construction industry. This has led to difficulties in rapid adaptations to the new technological developments.
2. Short-term view: Some players in the construction industry have a tendency to focus on quick solutions and focus on short-term profits instead of investing in technology and innovation. 3. Costs: The learning process as well as the technology itself can be complex and also costly for companies to implement.
