Abstract (Swedish)
(More)

Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the relationships between procrastination, routine, quality of life, intrinsic motivation, and physical activity among students at Lund University. Furthermore, the study examined whether procrastination and quality of life could be predicted by the other factors, and finally explored if there were any differences in the results between the various faculties at the university. These variables were measured through a web survey targeting students at Lund University (n = 103). The relationships, correlations, and specifications between the aforementioned variables were examined through correlations, multiple regressions, and a non-parametric Kruskall-Wallis-test. The results showed three significant negative associations with procrastination: physical activity, motivation for physical activity, and the amount of study time excluding scheduled time. In addition to procrastination, level of physical activity also had an association with both motivation for physical activity and intrinsic motivation. Unlike previous research, quality of life had no correlation with procrastination. However, it did show a negative correlation with scheduled hours in school and a positive correlation with intrinsic motivation. The results also indicate that both physical activity and study time can predict procrastination, while only intrinsic motivation showed a significant contribution to the model used to predict quality of life. When it comes to differences within the faculties, there were only significant results regarding scheduled hours and amount of study time excluding scheduled time, where Lund University's Faculty of Engineering (LTH) had the highest number of hours for both, followed by the School of Economics and Management, and then the Faculty of Social Sciences.
