Abstract
Brasilia, Brazil’s capital, is a city designed under the modernist precepts of the 60s. Its urbanistic plan is defined in four urban scales. Each of these occupies a different location in the city and has its own characteristics, which will be explored in this work. Especially the scale of the city center, which will be the focus of this project.

Regional and local analyses were key to understanding the Southern Bank Sector as a whole, its challenges and potential. From these, it was possible to draw up strategies to turn the urban center of Brasilia into a lively meeting place. The design of this project focused mainly on the Southern Bank Sector, but the intention is for this to be a model of transformation that spreads to the rest of... (More)

The design of this project focused mainly on the Southern Bank Sector, but the intention is for this to be a model of transformation that spreads to the rest of the central areas so that Brasilia can have an active, wellconnected and inviting urban center.

This is a study project, designed to explore possibilities for improving urban living in Brasília. The intention is that it can inspire future concrete developments in the city. (Less)

(Less)
