The chosen method for this study was qualitative interviews with three professionals from the Swedish police, three professionals from the Swedish social services, and two professionals from the Swedish correctional services. When analyzing our results, we used the theory of implementation and the theory of collaboration to deepen our understanding of the professionals' experiences. The result of this study shows that the professional has a positive perception of the implementation of the project. However, the coordination between the authorities presents certain challenges. Challenges that have emerged during the project include difficulties with legislation and different organizational cultures. This can affect the implementation and the cooperation between the authorities and therefore the needs of the clients are at risk of not being fulfilled. This study has highlighted that preventive methods are important in the work against intimate partner violence. It has also concluded that more research about this intervention and other intimate partner violence interventions is necessary. (Less)
