Abstract
This study aims to analyze how genre conventions of celebrity journalism shift when taken to a new platform with new limitations, possibilities and media logics. Hänt, a Swedish newspaper covering entertainment and celebrity news, regularly produces material for the video based platform Tiktok. These videos, studied through qualitative content analysis and with theories regarding genre, celebrity status and social media logic, act as the essay’s source material.
