- Abstract
- This thesis examines source diversity in Swedish print media’s coverage of the 2023–2024 Israel-Palestine war, analyzing four major newspapers: Dagens Nyheter (DN), Svenska Dagbladet (SvD), Aftonbladet, and Expressen. By employing a quantitative content analysis, the frequency of Israeli and Palestinian sources is studied and compared across the newspapers. The findings reveal a significant difference in source usage, with Israeli sources cited more frequently than Palestinian sources. Some variation is observed between newspapers in their source usage but the hypothesised influence of political orientation on source selection is limited. The results highlight the challenges of balanced conflict reporting
