In the end it concludes that the variables are intertwined in complex ways. but that most arrows point towards the region’s relation towards its patron state, Russia, being the most important factor. It paints a clear picture of very strong ties between Moscow and Transnistria and less so between them and Gagauzia. In doing so it agrees with most existing literature. (Less)
