Anonymous online forums have created a safe space where people who experience stigma can ask for help and converse about topics that are sensitive to discuss in everyday life. The following study aimed to investigate how partners of those with drug use were treated on the online forum Flashback. The empirical data were collected from four different threads on Flashback, where people sought help and support about their partners' drug use. Following a thematic analysis, the gathered replies were sorted into three created themes: Guidance, Pessimism, and Misogynism. In addition to previous research on online help-seeking, anonymity, treatment online, and treatment of women online, various theories were used to help analyze the results. The theories used were social constructivism and stigma. We also used social psychological concepts related to emotional states, such as attitudes, empathy, and aggression. The results found that people with direct and indirect experience of drug use tended to give advice coated with compassion and empathy. In other responses, aggression, stigma, and tendencies to throw in concepts of different diagnostics could be distinguished. It was also found that several of the users assumed that it was women who sought help for their male partners' drug use, which could be deduced by the negative connotation of the word woman being a common factor in the responses. Another central aspect was how anonymity could have played a part in making the Flashback users more likely to write aggressive responses and also show moral courage towards the thread starters.
