- Abstract
- This study aims to examine which discourses regarding drug use can be identified on the social media app TikTok and how drug use is portrayed and constructed on the app. A netnographic study was conducted in which empirical material was collected from TikTok and analysed in a discourse analysis based on social constructivism. From the results, three discourses were identified: a health discourse, a liberty or addiction discourse, and a relationship and behaviour discourse.
