yrkesidentitet. Studiens resultat har viktiga... (More)

Abstract
The aim of this study was to examine attitudes towards safety behaviour among
police officers in relation to work pressure, organizational support, and
occupational identity. Additionally, the study sought to contribute to and
enhance the ability to prevent behaviours that may increase the risk of errors and accidents among police officers. Data were collected through a digital survey, answered by police officers with a Diploma in Police Education (N=59). The results indicated that a higher degree of work pressure was significantly
associated with an increase in negative attitudes toward safety behaviour among
police officers. However, no significant associations were found between
attitudes toward safety behaviour and... (More)

associated with an increase in negative attitudes toward safety behaviour among
police officers. However, no significant associations were found between
attitudes toward safety behaviour and organizational support, or between
attitudes toward safety behaviour and occupational identity. The results of the
study have important implications for how the Swedish Police Authority can
promote positive attitudes toward safety behaviour and highlight the necessity
of developing strategies to reduce work pressure among the police officers. (Less)
