It utilizes Carol Bacchi's analytical model, "What’sthe problem represented to be?" (WPR), to critically examine Sweden's integration policy by uncovering the underlying assumptions presented in the document. The theoretical framework includes concepts such as othering, the subject, social exclusion, and feminist nationalism, contributing to a thorough critique of the power structures and norms depicted within the policy.
The study reveals that integration is defined in terms of control, surveillance, and
re-immigration, positioning the subject with unilateral responsibility for the integration process. (Less)
