The results reveal six clear discourses which are sexuality, intimate debut, dialogue about intimacy, not falling in love, jealousy, and consent. In all these discourses, we find recurring themes of gender roles, and the identified discourses also interact with one another. It is also found that the series Bara sex offers a good representation of intimate relationships, with elements of resistance and normbreaking in all the discourses, while at the same time appearing to reproduce traditional values.
