This paper utilized a qualitative method, a narrative analysis. The selection of the empirical material was limited to twelve videos within the organization’s YouTube channel, which was a targeted selection. The findings indicate mainly that the organization utilizes intern focalization and intradiegetic–homodiegetic narratives. However, the intradiegetic–heterodiegetic narrative was also used frequently within the empirical material. Greimas' actantial model identified six actants: subject, object, senders, receivers, helpers, and opponents. Social workers within child protective services in Sweden appeared as abusers of power within a corrupt system. They also appeared as people who take children into custody without any legal grounds. These representations were based on subjective perceptions of two people from the organization, who were a part of their subjective realities. (Less)
