Abstract (Swedish)
This thesis investigates the relationship between male graduation rates and institutional characteristics in U.S. higher education, focusing on faculty gender composition, the share of students receiving financial aid, and institutional level. Using panel data from 2021-2023, the study applies pooled OLS and fixed effects regression models. No statistically significant relationships were found in the fixed effects model, while pooled OLS indicated negative associations between male graduation rates and both faculty gender composition and financial aid. As the results vary across models, they should be interpreted with caution and may primarily capture differences between institutions rather than underlying relationships.
