Abstract
This Master’s thesis project tackles the challenge of engaging parents and children in shared reading by transforming everyday waiting areas into inviting reading spaces. Although parents know that reading is important, many struggle to find the time amidst daily pressures and feel overwhelmed by the demands of modern life. By providing a calm reading space in environments where children and parents already spend time, the furniture aims to encourage effortless spontaneous reading as a natural part of everyday life.
