Through the method of process tracing the research concludes three areas that hinders an international patient flow which are; economical, informative and judicial and administrative. By connecting evidence in process tracing tests to Michael Lipsky's theory of street level bureaucracy, a cumulative inference shows that institutional hindrances have a negative effect on patient mobility. The study creates implications that further research on the subject can and should be conducted for a wider understanding and development of European health care. (Less)
