By applying Self-Determination Theory (Ryan & Deci, 2017), the study analyzed how motivation and well-being were influenced by individuals’ perceptions of autonomy, competence, and relatedness. The results indicated that both perceived support from family, friends, and authorities, as well as the individuals’ own motivation, interact and affect the likelihood of successful reintegration into the labor market. The study provided valuable insights into the individual perspective on obstacles and support in the reintegration process and can inform both practice and policy. (Less)
