Denna studie syftar till att belysa vad chefer anser vara viktigt för ett framgångsrikt ledarskap, detta med målet att ge nya perspektiv på ledarskap för chefer så att de kan utvecklas och ha en större förståelse för hur andra chefer tänker kring ledarskap. Den ger även praktiska exempel på hur andra chefer leder som kan ge inspiration till att fler chefer leder framgångsrikt. Genom en kvalitativ metod intervjuades tio deltagande chefer semistrukturellt och ombads beskriva vad de anser bidra till ett framgångsrikt ledarskap. Baserat på temana pratade deltagarna främst om situationsanpassat ledarskap, följt av kommunikation, tydlighet och rätt organisatoriska förutsättningar. Personliga egenskaper som att vara närvarande, öppen och ha förmågan att skapa tillit var också bidragande faktorer, liksom relevant kunskap och erfarenhet. Temana diskuterades senare och kopplades till relevanta psykologiska teorier och tidigare forskning för att kunna bidra med olika perspektiv på ett framgångsrikt ledarskap. (Less)

Based on the themes, the participants mainly talked about situational leadership, followed by communication, clarity and the right organizational conditions. Personal qualities such as being present, open and having the ability to create trust were also contributing factors, as well as relevant knowledge and experience. The themes were later discussed and connected to several psychological theories and past research in order to contribute different perspectives on successful leadership. (Less)
