- Abstract
- Sex and social norms have always existed throughout human history, and are communicated through institutions such as schools, religion, and culture, making them an integral part of everyday life. However, this does not necessarily mean that we are aware of the different kinds of norms and sexuality. This study aims to explore the experiences of biology teachers in grades 7-9 who work in sexuality education. The study is based on semistructured interviews with six biology teachers in southern Sweden. The empirical material was analysed using norm-critical pedagogy and queer theory.
