The childrens emotional and behavioral problems were measured with Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL). The results of the main part showed significant decrease of the childrens problems, with large effect sizes. The results of the follow-up study were hard to interpret since the interviews and the results of CBCL in part pointed in different directions. Findings of earlier studies, as well as the current, suggests that the parenting program The Incredible Years is a valuable interven-tion for families with children having conduct and internalizing problems, and additionally supports parents insecure in their parenting role.
