Transfer and Syntax? : A study on the acquisition of German word order by Swedish native speakers

Abstract
In the field of second language acquisition (SLA) it is an important question, which role the native language assumes in the acquisition of another language. Studies have shown that there exists a native language influence on a phonological and lexical level. The situation in syntax is however different. Here a native language influence (transfer) is not self-evident.
