- Office designs are at present mostly designed for employees rather than with them. Companies that move into open-plan offices have intentions of increasing communication and exchange of knowledge between different departments. An open-plan office is also cost beneficial for companies with respect to space and a need for supervision. The purpose of this study was to find out if there is a relation between degree of extraversion and well being in an open-plan office. The questionnaire and EPI was distributed to 47 employees in a Swedish Construction Company. The significant level in all statistical tests was 0.05. The results indicated no relation between degree of extraversion and well being in an open-plan office.
