- Abstract
- The aim of our essay was to examine how persons working within social services, municipal psychiatry and county council psychiatry in Hässleholm understand collaboration between the organisations when it comes to clients who have an abuse problem combined with a mental disorder. We have found the following questions useful: 1. How is the collaboration between the organisations described and what possibilities and obstacles for collaboration are there? 2. - The aim of our essay was to examine how persons working within social services, municipal psychiatry and county council psychiatry in Hässleholm understand collaboration between the organisations when it comes to clients who have an abuse problem combined with a mental disorder. We have found the following questions useful: 1. How is the collaboration between the organisations described and what possibilities and obstacles for collaboration are there? 2. How do the personnel describe the ideal collaboration? 3. How do the organisations demarcate responsibility between them? We have made an explorative study using qualitative interviews. The perspective of the study has been an organizational one because we wanted to get increased knowledge of how the personnel understand collaboration in between the organisations and how previous research explains obstacles and possibilities for collaboration. We have discovered that the collaboration between the organisations in most cases in Hässleholm works quite well. When it doesn’t work it is mainly because of separate finances, separate responsible authorities, personal relationships and lack of time. Another explanation to why the collaboration fails can be that personnel appoint a scapegoat, maybe because they don’t have enough knowledge of one another. (Less)
