I have used qualitative interviews in my investigation. Totally I made seven interviews, with two women and five men. In the Symbolic Interactionism, which has been my theoretical background, people form the pictures of themselves and lifephilosophies in interaction with other people. In my essay I have written about other peoples importance when a heroinaddict is trying to leave the "drugworld" and enter the "conventional world". This means that I havn't focused so much on the methadone itself, but more on the "complements" needed to make the new life meaningful and worth maintaining. (Less)
