- Abstract
- The purpose with my essay was to try to find out if there are homeless families in the city of Lund. The questions I wanted to find answers to were the following: Does the problem with homelessness among families with children exist in Lund? Which are the people who become homeless? In what way can they obtain help? What is it that leads to homelessness? What reasons are there to it? The method I used to obtain information was qualitative interviews with professionals. The result of the work was that I learned that there is not homelessness among families in Lund, meaning that families live in the street. The problem with homelessness however, or rather problems concerning the housing situation, is something that in our time, can happen to almost any kind of family whom by various reasons find themselves in troublesome circumstances of some sort. The families facing problems of this kind, can receive help both in the form of advice in how to solve a difficult housing situation and in the form of a place to stay or live. The reasons for the problems seemed mostly to be poorness and the lack of appropriate flats. (Less)
