- Abstract
- We have in our essay compared Folkpartiet liberalernas, Moderata samlingspartiets and Ny Demokratis presented proposal about demanded knowledge in language for immigrants to receive citizenship. The main purpose with the essay was to examine which similarities and differences there was between the three party-political proposals. We found close points of similarity between the proposals. The main difference was Ny Demokratis harsher terms against immigrants. To produce an understanding of why two established party´s like Folkpartiet liberalerna and Moderata samlingspartiet have tabled this kind of proposal we had studied some factors in society which we thought might have influenced this development. - We have in our essay compared Folkpartiet liberalernas, Moderata samlingspartiets and Ny Demokratis presented proposal about demanded knowledge in language for immigrants to receive citizenship. The main purpose with the essay was to examine which similarities and differences there was between the three party-political proposals. We found close points of similarity between the proposals. The main difference was Ny Demokratis harsher terms against immigrants. To produce an understanding of why two established party´s like Folkpartiet liberalerna and Moderata samlingspartiet have tabled this kind of proposal we had studied some factors in society which we thought might have influenced this development. Relevant factors in this context proved to be the public opinions negative view on the ruling politics of integration and influences from the surrounding countries attitude toward integration. We have also studied if linguistic researchers attach great importance to knowledge of language in connection with integration. This proved to be a relevant factor for integration of immigrants. In a comparison between linguistic researchers and politics point of view the linguistics puts emphasize on communication in a larger perspective.. To accomplish our essay we used a comparative design, a discourse analysis, literature studies and made an interview. (Less)
