- Abstract
- The purpose with this essay was to examine and understand factors with great importance for the new employed social welfare secretaries' integration into their working environment. It was a qualitative study done with eight interviews and as a result it gave us the social welfare secretaries' experiences. We proceeded from following questions: o What kind of reception does the new employed get? o Have the new employed any support in the working situation? o Has the social environment any significance related to work? o Does integration exist? - The purpose with this essay was to examine and understand factors with great importance for the new employed social welfare secretaries' integration into their working environment. It was a qualitative study done with eight interviews and as a result it gave us the social welfare secretaries' experiences. We proceeded from following questions: o What kind of reception does the new employed get? o Have the new employed any support in the working situation? o Has the social environment any significance related to work? o Does integration exist? The results showed several factors of importance to the social welfare secretaries' for their integration at work. The reception that was given to them the very first day and the possibility of their colleagues support was very fundamental. A warm welcome had significant values that contributed to an easier integration. The social environment was experienced as mostly important for their working situation. Further more the result also showed that if the social working environment was of any satisfaction at all, then the new employed choose to stay with their colleagues, if they ever get themselves into a situation that implies them to change their future working situation.
