- Abstract
- This thesis aim is to test the world of compliance ideal type, which concerns the Central and Eastern European (CEE) member states of the European Union. The ideal type theory categorizes the CEE as fast and adequate in transposing legal acts though particularly bad in practical implementation.

The thesis has a theory testing aproach and with hope of developing the existing model. In order to pull out the test I have done a case study on Poland through different reports and studies and their process patterns concerning implementation process ad outcome for the purpose of evaluating the ideal type. Poland was in the same country cluster, the world of dead letters but not researched and their characteristics as a large and more powerful state compared to other CEE countries make them a good subject. Findings of the Polish accession through earlier studies and my additional post-accession gives a picture of a country with a not yet political stability. Considering the ideal type, it serves as a filter but could as well be used to analyse the implementation. (Less)
