Abstract (Swedish)
The object of this study is to find if there are any salutogenic factors, and if so, which have an influence on over weighted children’s ability to loose weight or reach weight stability. The study interviewed children registered at the Clinic for obesity as well as staff working there. The children participated in a semi structured interview and answered Antonovsky´s Sense of Coherence scale (SOC-13). The children had reached weight stability 2007-2008. The results showed that the children had had access to several salutogenic factors like a supporting family, friends and hobbies. The children were aware of the significance of a healthy diet and physical activities. The SOC-form showed a degree of coherence corresponding to the mean value... (More)
