Abstract
Metaphors is a vital and fundamental part of our intellectual abilities. The situation in Sweden with criminal organizations and networks is getting more and more serious, new methods are needed. The uses of metaphors offers a picture of the involved institutions different views, and where the debate is going. Recently the economic aspect of the phenomena has started to become the hegemonic one, and metaphors such as “go for the money” describe the new strategies.
There are problems however with the use of metaphor. It might frame the issue it is describing into a static form, putting emphasis on some parts and neglecting some other aspects of it. This, of course, affects our intellectual work negative. (Less)
