This will be done by first looking into the concept of human rights to get a better overall understanding of what human rights really are. After this the essay will examine the use of human rights explicit in the debate as well as the use of human rights implicit. The conclusion purposes that human rights, in an explicit way, is not very common at all as an argument in the debate on euthanasia. In an implicit way though, human rights is much more occurring. It is being expressed through arguments about the individual’s right to self-determination. As individuals we should be able to decide for ourselves about our life, and the decisions we want to make. The right to a worthy death is also spoken about, as well as every human beings right to death. (Less)
