Purpose: The purpose of this essay is to expose how a large, decentralized and successful organization is using internal communications, and how they communicate organizational values to their employees, that is, a theory of practice. Method: This research is based on qualitative interviews & qualitative content analysis. In order to analyze the empirical material I have used a theoretical model containing several consolidate communication theories. Conclusions: My conclusions are that Vings strategies and ideas are like several of the most current communication theories, but their practical work is limiting the ability of, for example, dialogue and sense making. Keywords: Internal communications, value based communications, employee roles, sense making, one-way and two-way communications. (Less)
