In connection with the introduction of the Law on Energy declarations and guidelines for certification of energy experts, a number of companies grow. These companies offers further education to people that strive to become energy experts. They offer short courses that will lead to certification. This essay examines LTH's engineering educational programme and further education offered by education company Approvus AB. These courses are compared against Boverkets demands for specific skills listed in CEX1. The comparison will determine if a qualified building engineer graduated from LTH possesses the knowledge needed to become energy experts, and if further education is required to take the certification exam and pass. After a review of LTH's engineering educational programme and Approvus AB literature that is used on theirs course , and carefully studied the requirements of specific skills (CEX1) reveals that graduates of the LTH´s building engineer should have the knowledge required of an energy expert .
