Essay over Ansvarskommitténs final report "Hållbar samhällsorganisation med utvecklingskraft" Subject/Course: National Economics, advanced research essay 10p Author: Linnéa Mörk Tutor: Agneta Kruse Purpose: To analyze Ansvarskommitténs final report "Hållbar samhällsorganisation med utvecklingskraft". Focus has been on the underlying reasons to the report and the results presented. The purpose has been to examine the relevance of the presented results from national economic theory, and mainly from public economy Question: Will a transform to regioncounty´s increase competition, efficiency, equal value and quality? Method: I have chosen a qualitative analyse since the mainly purpose of my essay is to describe and give the reader a deeper understanding for the scope of studies. Results: The relevance in the committees final report is difficult to examine because the committee never presents concrete proposals. The committee never discusses the market failures that influence medical treatment. Their focus is instead on their idea that an increase in regioncounty´s is necessary for increase in efficiency, competition, equal value and quality. Economic theories never find general scale economy in medical treatment and an extended size doesn´t fulfil the committees results. The committees proposal to introduce a database where patients, doctors and politicians gives the possibility to examine different treatments and research findings as well as an improved patientfocus conduce reduction in asymmetric
