Through these interviews, leaning on intersectional theory and gender order theory, I have investigated what the managers perceive as the concept equality, how they advocate their own role in this work, and if the seminar day has influenced their will to work with equality within the municipality. I found that equality is understood as equality between sexes, also including ethnic multitude and sometimes even other grounds of discrimination. I also found that the administrative managers view equality based on a heteronormative differential view of gender and of sex. The seminar day seem to have made an influence on the attitudes among the administrative managers, both in sense of revealing their own prejudices, and also by allowing equality issues a higher priority in the rules of procedure.
