Ickevåld som motståndsstrategi
(2010) FKVK01 20101Department of Political Science
- Abstract
- This essay is a discussion on nonviolence as a resistance strategy. First off it gives the reader an overview of some of the theories, strategies and methods discussed in the research field of nonviolence. These theories are then used to perform a comparative analysis on two successful nonviolent resistance movements, Kmara in Georgia and WIPNET in Liberia. The comparison shows that there are similarities despite the contextual differences in the two cases. These similarities are then analysed and discussed and some suggestions for an improvement of the field of nonviolent research are stated.
