This essay is a study of in which extension children are participating in child inquiries performed by the social services when using BBIC compared to when the social services weren’t. To get a good overview of this I made interviews with three social workers. I also analysed social acts of child inquiries of a total amount of six. Three of them were written by the social services before the introduction of BBIC, and three were written after. This study takes place in a department in a city in Sweden. At the end of the study I could see that using BBIC the child and its needs were put in focus compared to earlier child inquiries.
