Nielsen, Oskar LU (2010) JAPK11 20101
Japanese Studies
Abstract
The phenomena onbin and rendaku in the Japanese language are two subjects that are frequently discussed among linguistic researchers. In this paper these two phenomena will be discussed and explained. The first part explains the historical background to these phenomena and the last part is a discussion that, in a way, proves that onbin and rendaku can be connected to each other. Some scientists claim that these two subjects are two completely different things, while others mean that they are very similar to eachother.
