Maternal Mortality Differentials:Review of socioeconomic effects on maternal mortality in low -middle income countries for the period 2001 and 2005

Abstract
Maternal mortality levels in most low middle income countries is not been the same over the past decades. Among these countries, some of them seem to have an improvement in reducing maternal mortality but the aggregate picture is indicated the regional progress as not that impressive. This is been the case because of the different social and economic policies that each low-middle income countries has been adopting over time which have an eminent effect on the vulnerable women population. A Simple Least Square regression and least square dummy variable regression is used to look at the effect that socioeconomic factors have on maternal mortality ratio across the regions of Latin America, Africa and Asia for the period 2001 to 2005.However,...
