- The main focus of this thesis is on access to knowledge movement. The exceptions and limitations to the exclusive rights of the author’s in International copyright regime has been discussed in line of that. Te paper has analysed article 15 of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural rights to have human rights perspective on access to knowledge. The primary objective of this paper is to find a basis of the access to knowledge movement from the users’ rights perspectives in the copyright and human rights regime. To understand how the movement has developed and articulated access to knowledge detailed analysis of the movements has done. In line of that objective the paper focused to the primary objective of the copyright and human right laws.
As a secondary objective the paper has tried to analyse the role of the new copyright license i.e. creative common license in achieving the goal of the access to knowledge movement as well as the copyright and human right. (Less)
