- Abstract (Swedish)

(Less) - Abstract
- The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to develop a prototype in the form of a web-based
GIS system for presenting and managing geological data. The essay is written in

managing data from wells in Malmo. The idea is to use a Silverlight® Bing Maps® GIS
client to put this system on the web.
The essay takes on a fundamental level how the technology of a web-based GIS system
and the communication between client and server works. Something that also is study is

explains cartographic guidelines to be followed in the preparation of a GIS client.
In conclusion, stressed that a GIS system was developed in Silverlight® with Bing
Maps®-based map service is not optimal for the presentation of geological information. (Less)
