- Abstract
- In my thesis I exemin the Jewish clothing rules that is a part of the Tzniut regulations. A biblical code of conduct that jewish people all over the world still followes. My research material has been internet sites that specialize in selling modest clothing to jewish women. I take a closer look at how these sites describe their clients and how they by doing that are taking a part in creating a specific jewish female identity. I also look at the impact this identity have on women's bodies. How it helps to dicipline women's bodies and keeps women dependent on males to defend them aginst other males.
