- Abstract
- This study has investigated the factors behind the location decision of Chinese outward FDI. Based on theories and previous research on outward FDI from developing economies, thirteen determining factors of twenty-three countries during the period of 2003 to 2009 were collected and examined. According to the empirical findings, both conventional and unconventional factors were found to have an impact on Chinese outward FDI‘s choice of location. The findings show that countries with abundant natural resources, large market size as well as higher levels of market development are more attractive to Chinese outward FDI.
