- Who can become a foster home? An illumination of the foster home secretaty´s role in the selection process
Is it possible for anyone to become a foster parent? What if you are homosexual, highly religious or from a foregin culture; is it even worthwhile to applay? We were curious about if one person´s prejudice can effect wehether a person applaying is approved or not.
We interviewed social workers active in different sized communities and specialised in investigating foster home. We also interviewed a psychologist consultning the social workers and a foster mother (contact person). The results turned out to be quite interesting.
