Here women get together to save money and discuss different topics concerning health and social awareness. Through twelve interviews with women from a slum area in Dhaka, this study's aim was to see if the women were helped by the Mother Club; if so, in what way they were helped; if they had any suggestions on how the Mother Club could improve; and if they had any comments about the Mother Club. The study reveals that the women were helped by the Mother Clubs in two different ways: by achieving higher status and new knowledge. They also had various suggestions and comments about their Mother Clubs. (Less)
